Good day, I was a former work and travel, as well as an Internship participant both under the J1 Visa. I recently re-connected with my former employer and I was informed that it is possible for me to get sponsored to be part of the company again. However I was told by my employer to let them know how the process works because it will also be their first time to sponsor a foreign worker. I went back to my home country before the 30-day grace period ends and I am not subject to the INA 212(e) which is the 2 year home residency requirement. Although it's been already 2 years since I arrived back in my home country.

Anyone know the process on how my employer can sponsor me? Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

They appont an Immigration Lawyer, discuss your specific with them and they will advise the best way forward. If there is a realistic way.
