I have applied for AOS on June 20th as my husband is US Citizen. I received my EAD and AP for travel. I am traveling to India on November 1st to December 20th.

I received notification that "Case is Ready to be scheduled for Interview" on October 23rd.

I live in San Jose, CA. When can I expect USCIS to schedule interview.

What documents should I carry while I travel with the AP?

You would need to check timelines for your local USCIS office. Different offices are more backlogged than others.

You could be sent notice for an interview while out of the country. You would need to be able to still receive your mail notices and cut your trip short if need be.

You would need your passport, AP and copy of marriage certificate, if you changed your name through marriage and AP is in different name than passport. Purchase ticket to match passport name.

~ Moved from AOS from Family Based Visas to AOS from Work, Student & Tourist Visas - AOS from visa other than K family based ~
