UPSP lost AOS package. What now?

Hi guys,

I send of my AOS package on 10/13 with two day shipping and delivery confirmation. Unfortunately, after two weeks, still no update on where the package was because it hadn't update since 10/14 since it left the USPS facility in Chicago. We got an e-mail today from USPS stating the following:

In response to your request dated October 17, 2016, we regret to inform you that we
were unable to locate any delivery information in our records regarding your item number

2315147***********

Basically, they lost our package is what I'm making up out of this e-mail. I don't care for the whole package (I have an exact copy twice here) but I'm concerned about one thing. I had an envelope containing my medical for I-485 that I had to send in. (So not the form what VJ requires) Now this package is lost, I obviously also will never see that envelope again. I assume this means I need to redo a medical here and then send the package off again? I'll be out of status beginning tomorrow and I'm so mad, frustrated and I don't know whether to cry or to laugh because every time something goes wrong with this whole process.

Thanks for the input!

I had a sealed envelope, so I guess that's the sealed I-693. It said I couldn't open it.

If you did go to local civil surgeon recently to complete the I-693 form, then you should be able to call up the office to ask if they can re-issue a new one for you.

If it is the DS-3025 which is given to you during your K1 visa exam in your home country, perhaps you can try calling them to see if they can send you a new one?

Oh steph, Im sorry..

If you google " lost my I693 " the first few links all point back here to VJ.

What I would do, which may not be the right thing.

Remail another package to uscis without the 693.

Contact the surgeon/hospital where you had the medical. See if you can get a copy.

In a perfect world the RFE will come the same day the copy comes.

Start looking around and saving money for another medical, and or titer test.

The above is my opinion only. No real world experience.

Oh, yes this one is issued during my K1 visa. I still have the panel physician's e-mail so I could e-mail him.

It sucks! Thanks for the opinion, though. I will e-mail the doctor who did my medical so ask for another medical envelope. I'll wait for his response on Monday, if it's not possible, I will contact a local civil surgeon around the area. I have healthcare so it might be covered?

Civil surgeon office visit is not covered by health insurance.

In the package that you handed over during the POE, it should have contained a copy of the DS-3025 as well.

You should be ok to send in a new AOS package without the DS-3025.

Or you can wait for K1 medical doctor to email you a copy.

I have copies of my vaccination record here in the safe, I could send one in without the DS-3025? I'll await his answer and get everything done again on Monday. Passport photo's, paystubs etc. Thanks for helping, Merrytooth. Appreciate it!

You need to send in either I-693 or DS-3025, can't just send in your vaccination record.

If you manage to get a copy DS-3025, make sure to check that it is properly filled up as stated in

Nich-Nick's pinned thread I posted above. E.g All required vaccinations marked off on DS-3025 at your K-1 medical.

The DS-3025 does not have to be sealed in envelope.

I just checked the package I had left after POE (after them making copies) I have a two piece form and my chest xray cd-rom. Um, the vaccination record I talked about earlier says "DS-3025" small left under. It says I have all required US vaccines and is signed. I could copy that and send it, is what I thought.

I'm concerned about what was in the sealed envelope that I got with my package and had to submit with my I-485 - like what was in it etc. If it's really important.

that's good news!

You can just send in a copy of DS-3025 with your new AOS package.

USPS rarely loses things. I don't doubt that it is misplaced but you might want to wait another week or two because I am fairly sure it will turn up. It might have already been delivered, just that the delivery scan/update wasn't performed so they have no information about it. If it is with USCIS already, it can take up to 30 days for a NOA.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!

Has your check been cashed? That would be another way to verify that the package arrived at USCIS. I've had lots of times when the post office forgets to scan things so there is no tracking info available. Hopefully you will see the check was cashed and/or receive some kind of notification from USCIS that your package has arrived. Good luck! Also, save a copy of your medical form. You may have to take it to a civil surgeon to have it transcribed to an I-693 if you get an RFE for medical.
