Ok so I wrote a post inquiring about green card procedure and I pretty much understood what you guys told me... But I have a question about my biometric appointment I attended some weeks ago. I was granted a CR1 visa in London and at the time of the interview they took my fingerprints. Then at POE they took my fingerprints again (normal)

Then after a few months I got a letter asking me to go in to have more biometrics done. On the letter is was showing this was for my case regarding the GC

I've never heard of anyone having to do this when on a CR1 visa.

Can anyone shine any light on this?

Is this normal?

That is unusual, unless you are already in line for ROC (Removal of Conditions), having had your greencard close to two years.

You have your greencard now, right?

Biometrics "expire" according to USCIS. Do if you get them done for I-485 then you also need to get them for I-751 and N-400. The fingerprints at POE don't count for biometrics. Because bureaucracy.

So it doesn't matter that you had those done. The issue is whether biometrics are required in the US post POE for a CR-1 visa, and I have not heard of that. Did you pay the $165 fee or did you file a form perhaps, like I-90?

Well just to update you guys as far as the request I made with uscis. I received a email with an update saying I should receive my green card within 90 days of receiving this email.

Well to be honest i find the whole system to be flawed and take whatever they say with a pinch of salt. So I'm hopeful I should receive it soon, hopefully within the next 30days fingers crossed.

Just find it so unfair for those who follow procedures and end up waiting way beyond time frames but if we are late with the uscis we are punished.

I'm dreading the ROC already ?
