NOA2 I-797 Approved . What does this mean?

Hello everyone :)

So last week my fiancée informed me she received a NOA that said "The above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center (NVC), etc.." It also mentioned NVC will notify me by letter when potation has been sent to embassy or consulate and to allow about 30 days.

I understand we can be asked for more proof at any point but when do most people get a Request for Evidence” (RFE)?

Is this usually requested before this NOA2 or should I still expect a Request for Evidence” (RFE) from NVC?

You are already approved, no RFE for your case. After 30 days you can call NVC to get your case number and with that your fiancee can proceed for the rest of the processing such as medical and interview.

March 3- Interview, approved on the Spot

March 8 - received GC

Jan 21 - VISA ON HAND! (8 working days from interview)

March 21 - CFO / PDOS for K2s

June 1, 2016 - POE

July 18, 2016 - Married

If you follow the form instructions and include everything that is required, then there is no reason for them to send an RFE. Many many people get approved without receiving an RFE.
