Hi question have anyone request for expedite before?

How did you request it? Called explaining why you need it or just mail the letter explain why do/ did need it.

I emailed lockbox and was told to called and explain the reason why we should get expedite and get request ID number to mail the letter.

My husband called and explained, they said it take 5 business days to get respond to request so by next week Thursday or Friday we should hear from them.

They didn't give us request ID number.

I wonder how they will call, email or mail us. Have that happen to you?

You can check your case status on USCIS' website. Click on your case number and look under "case history" or "next steps". You will see the referral number after it's assigned to an officer. It will tell you when the request is completed but it will not tell you what the response was. You will get that in mail.

You can also call the customer service number for the response. The agent will not be able to tell you so you can request to be transferred to tier 2. You'll be put in a waiting call list and the system will call you back when someone is available.

Good thoughts going your way!

What are you trying to expedite?

We successfully expedited my spouse's EAD/AP through the National Customer Service number:: 1 800 375-5283. More info here: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/contact-us/national-customer-service-center

Definitely sign up for case updates online! We called on 10/18/2016 requesting an expedite of the AP (due to severe personal and financial loss), was emailed requesting more documentation and a number to fax it to on 10/25/2016. And we got a notice that both (although we only needed the AP) are approved. We are hoping we get the actual card in enough time to be able to use it for the reason we expedited, but it is getting very close as we need to travel for November 9th.
