The ONLY thing I like here is my Hubby & his family. That's it. If it wasn't for him , I sure as hell wouldn't be here. This is not or will never be Home to me.

and by all means, cant say it, dont want to violate TOS :P

again like I mentioned earlier :P.. her young daughter still lives in Canada.... that could be part of the reason she doesn't like it here in the US....

I like

-shopping here because there are so many choices like Target, Walmart, Kohls, Ross, Macy's, etc. Plus you can return almost everything.

-food also because there are so many choices mexican, chinese, thai, vietnamese, italian, basque, etc

-highways and freeways

-I also like that medicine is better than most of the other countries and I feel more confident seeing a doctor here than in my home country

I don't like

-people. I think people don't socialize here a lot, but they care more about how much money they make or what car they drive. Also I think that people curse too much here!

-big distances like I can go nowhere without the car

-that everywhere I go people asks how I am but nobody actually cares how I am

I think the reaction on other side might just be holy schmoly, it's sad living in a place you hate. It has to creep into every aspect of your life. How can you ever be happy? *shrug*

I really hope you and your daughter are reunited soon. I can't imagine how hard this is for you. It hurts like hell to have to let her go to her DNA contributor on his weekends. My husband's main reason for immigrating here was that I couldn't leave the US with my daughter (custody issues *sigh*). Believe me, if I'd had the choice then my daughter and I would have done Canadian Immigration. Our plan is still do go that route when she's 18...unless a miracle happens before then.

As far as giving your opinion...honey you go right ahead. After what you've been through you are well entitled to it. (F)

Y'all give Raphael a break. She's had a hard time already with the visa process. It was nothing short of insane and her daughter is still in Canada. Rather than dump on her because she's venting and shares HER opinion, try to have a bit more understanding. Geez. As if none of you have ever done the same thing.
