Hello there, well, I need some help to try to make the best decision I can make.

This Sept. My brother got his GC because his wife has one(They got married 4 years ago) GC too, both are now US Residents, they are leaving to the US this 3rd Jan 2017. Also too, last year my aunt/uncle and cousin obtained political asylum for political persecution. So now well, me. I apply for a visitor visa(B1-B2) last March so I can visit them, which got refused. I think I failed at the verbal questions. And one important question he made me was "Are you traveling alone, with your family, or?" And I answered that I was traveling with my partner, even he made me the question again "Aren't you traveling with your family?" So I think I mess up that part. My mom has her appointment this January, so she can visit her sister(My aunt) and my cousin has his first communion in April 2017. I must say that I am only a 20 years old student, doing a short university career(3 years only) I do have money but I at this point I do not have still properties or strong bonds.. Even thought I have a small company with my partner, and about to get a car... I know it seems a bit strong that I want to "inmigrate illegally" but if my family has been doing it the right way, I want to do it the right way too. But I don't know what could help me to demonstrate that I dont want to stay there ILEGALLY. Obviously my brother plans in a decade or some couples of years when he get his citizenship is to apply for my mom and I. but between that happen I want to keep in touch with my family. Another thing going on right now is the DV Lottery Visa.. What should I do? Should I apply? I've heard lot of rumours.. People saying that if you apply they send you to a black list, others saying that it doesn't matter. I want to do things by the right way. If I have to visit my family for a few years I will, if its recommended to apply I will.. Any comments? Thanks

DV does not make that much difference, you have a whole list of other issues to overcome, probably a few you did not mention.

I thought they were not doing Visitor Visa applications in Venezuela currently?

Yes at this moment they arent. At march they were doing Visitor Visa, and they are working now with visa appointments that were paid before May. I can travel to Colonbia, Bogota and appoint a visa interview. What do you mean by issues to overcome and what did I not mention?
