Hey all. I feel like NVC is processing some cases slower than others. I recieved my NOA2 on October 3rd and have had people with a later date recieve their case numbers from NVC before me. Is anyone else experiencing delays? I'm getting worried.

Was your petition even sent to the NVC yet? They send them in batches and I have no idea what the method to their madness is, but that's the part that can cause delays, too. Unless you have confirmed that it has been sent (via the app or over the phone), it may still be sitting with USCIS.

The letter stated that it was sent. I called USCIS and they said that they have 90 days to send a petition and that was it lol. I went through CSC and the application online didn't even state anything other than I was approved. I don't understand how someone with an NOA2 date that is later than mine was given a case number before. Seems weird

My case sat at USCIS for over a month before transferring to NVC. My case was approved June 25th of this year and then NVC didn't even receive it until mid August. I checked in with NVC multiple times during July and early August and then still didn't have it, meaning it was a delay on the USCIS side. So it took a total of about two months from NOA2 to receiving my NVC case number. Everything is a waiting game, stay positive :goofy:

A lot of the people reporting earlier times are guessing or just putting any figure they want. The truth is I believe far more lengthy then they let you believe.

Well, it is true that the NVC has been taking longer then usual this year. My case was approved on 24 August and didn't get forwarded to the NVC until September 27. Then the NVC finally entered my case number on the 3rd October.

after they issue you a case number, it will take them about 6 weeks to send you the AOS invoice and IV invoice.

Something that I experienced is that, the NVC has an IT issue with the DS 261, select an agent form, it will only allow you to confirm but not to submit, so even though the AOS and IV fees are paid, I couldn't fill out my IV application. When I called them to inform them about the problem, they told me that this has happened a lot lately because of a glitch in their system. it took their IT department 3 weeks to fix the problem for me.
