DHL IS TRYING TO OPE N FIANCE'S MEDICAL BEFORE DELIVERING SAYING IT'S A NEW POLICY

He called the Cairo embassy and told them what was going on after going to 2 DHL's and calling the main branch of DHL in Cairo. The embassy naturally said the medical exam cannot be opened under any circumstances,butwon't allow him to hand deliver it either. What do we do?

Call DHL, and ask them why they want to open the package? Let them know, it's government regulation. Or, DHL is disregarding that?

DOES IT STATE ANY WHERE ON THE PACKAGE..... DO NOT OPEN??? i have never heard of DHL doing something like this but I would definitely get some answers.

Unless something has recently changed, the Cairo Embassy uses ONLY TNT Courier Service for moving documents in and out of the Embassy for visa issues. It is usually stated in the instructions with your fiance's packet along with their address. Did they change it?

Suggestion:

Call the doctor, find out what he/she is writing-on/labeling the package as... most carriers will not allow/inspect medical waste/blood, etc - perhaps there is something on the package/waybill that is causing the issue.

I stand corrected JODO per the other thread. I have never liked DHL. I hope they can transition a little more effectively then this!

Thanks guys for the help. There was a misunderstanding,but it has since been mailed,UNOPENED! And yes Cairo now uses DHL, it was in his instruction packet from the embassy.
