Sputum Exam. Very distraught now.

Yeah I know how you feel guys?. The SLEC also told me that there is something in my xray, but I'm 100% sure that I don't have TB. Yeah 3 days of collecting smear every morning then they will instruct u after.

Mmm my advise to your fiancée is she need to drink milk everyday, eat 3x a day, And move on cause not only me and your fiancé experience this a lot of people. Just always pray I know it will be negative. ???

The NOA from USCIS does show a 4 month validity, but the embassy auto extends the petition validity, no matter, up to a year. This is not a concern, you will not have to start over. Relax on this.

Drinking milk does NOTHING to correct TB.

The milk thing makes me laugh. Such an old wives tale and told over and over each time this subject is discussed. Milk does a body good but nothing for TB.

My fiance was at SLEC for medical on Oct 19th with a Oct 27th Interview date, we were so excited to be just about 1 week away from completion, and then guess what ? her xray showed possible TB so she had to go back to SLEC on Oct 26,27,28 for Sputum Collection, she will return to SLEC on Nov 4th for preliminary result and we too will wait the 60 days for the final result. We had plans for her to be here in the US for Thanksgiving but it will not happen now.

I am going to Manila now for a short 10 day trip just to see her and have some time together, yes this does happen to a lot of people, my fiance showed up the first day of Sputum testing at 5:15am and she was handed number 174 so there are a lot of beneficiarys there going thru this. Tell your fiance to be there around 4:30 and she won't have to wait that long to get thru it.

I'm sorry I need to make a correction to this post, my fiance showed up at St. Lukes on the first day of Sputum testing at about 6:15 and she was handed #143, on the final day of testing she showed up at 5:20 and she got #22.

Wow thank you all so much for the responses. That makes us feel a little better. I was thinking that also. It seems they are putting more people through it than now now days. I also heard like 99.9% are negative. Thank you for the comments everyone :)
