Nervously excited but confused

By happenstance I was looking at YouTube Video about preparing for Visa Interview and the person had a link to the USCIS logon. So I register and access site

and I see Case Was Approved, on October 18, 2016...approval notice will be mailed..follow the instructions in the notice.

The confusing part is I only mailed in application on September 17, 2016!!!! Could the possible be my NOA2 already?

I'm not entirely sure what stage you are in, but I bet it's possible that you got approved quickly. There are so many horror stories about how long this takes that it can be disconcerting when it's quick. I've had a few of the steps go way quicker than I thought they would, so it's possible that you got lucky!

Thanks for the response. It was the I-129 F petition for K-1 that was approved (according to the USCIS logon site).

I've seen a couple other posts around here about people getting that approved in about a month, so I guess it's possible! If it is actually approved (and I don't know why the site would say it was approved if it actually wasn't), then you'll get something in the main pretty soon. I'm glad it went quick for you

Uscis has been really fast. Seems like average rate of approval is a month. So yes it is very possible. Congrats!
