My fiancé's interview was today and her visa was approved; she is in Brazil. I would like to thank visajourney for the tips and guidance throughout this process. I filed the petition on July 25, so it took exactly 3 months for the visa to be approved.

The advice that I have is simple: pay attention to the details! If you do that, you will be successful without an RFE. I also front loaded my application; I can't confirm if that made a difference in the fast approval of the visa. Good luck to all!

CONGRATS.

Just out of curiosity - how many pages was your total submission? Mine came to about 180 total about 3 inches tall. I agree with your thinking as well - frontload the heck out of it.

I just filed it yesterday 2nd day air to arrive tomorrow and Im wondering if I front loaded it like a lead brick (too much) or not enough.

Im a nervous wreck I've checked the FEDEX tracking number about 32 times today just to watch it sitting at the docks. Im going to need XANAX soon.

Im a nervous wreck I've checked the FEDEX tracking number about 32 times today just to watch it sitting at the docks. Im going to need XANAX soon.

I did not count pages, but I would estimate that it was about 60 pages. I sent the affidavit of support form and supporting documents with it; although it is not needed with the I-129f form, I sent it anyway. I also sent copies of call logs from WhatsApp, Skype, and chats from Facebook. The logs were for each month that we've known each other. I sent flight receipts, hotel receipts, boarding passes, visa stamps, etc. Most importantly, I sent 20 significant pictures (meeting with parents, proposal pictures, etc) with the date and description of each picture. Everything that I sent, my fiance took with her to the interview. We made 3 copies of everything.

You will be fine! Every case is different, but you can reference my experience which confirms that the visa can be issued very quickly. When we filed, our expectations was for it to be completed in at least 6 months; however, it was completed in 3 month and completely exceeded our expectations. It's only natural to be nervous; my fiance and I found creative ways to get rid of the nervousness. Today, I could not get rid of it though. I was a nervous wreck waiting her on to call me and tell me that she was approved. It is such a relief to have this part of the process done and over with! Good luck the rest of the way!

Amazing news, congratulations!! So happy for you!

My fiance is coming over to Scotland to meet my family in April 2017, we plan to submit the Visa in December 2016 when I go back to visit. We have met 4 times in the last year and have known each other since 2012. My question is do you think it will be an issue that we don't have any pictures of him with my family yet - we have loads of me with his, and we have letters of approval from both mothers (despite it not being a cultural norm for U.S or Scottish to explicitly need approval from parents - it's more just a courtesy).

Thank you so much, and congratulations again to everyone who has been approved. Can't wait to be at that point!!

The fee goes up almost with $200 on December 23 so apply before there to save some ;)

Also no issue with the pictures and you don't need letters from the family. You have a very easy embassy.
