Hey guys, I have a couple of questions for you...

I am having a bit of trouble letting USCIS know that we have a change of address. We are both living in Australia and are applying for our CR1 visa from abroad. We have just moved from one house in Australia to another and need to let them know, but all of the forms I have found regarding change of address are for people who are currently living in the United States. (This includes the online form)

I have tried calling USCIS but I can't get through to anyone - the automated system keeps telling me to call back after 8am, but it IS after 8am in the states. I am going by central time, but I thought USCIS national customer service centre was in Washington DC, which is 2 hours later than central time. Is there an issue with their phone system, or are they actually located on the west coast?

Does anyone have any idea how to inform them of change of address while you and your partner are both living abroad?

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

 

Now a US citizen!

I'm in the same boat as you. It appears the only way to change the address is to call them. Sadly that's easier said that done to get through to someone.

May 14, 2016: Sent I-130 Package to Chicago Lockbox

Oct 21, 2016: NOA2 Notice by App (LIN)

 

NVC

Nov 8, 2016: NVC Received

Nov 16, 2016: Case Number Assigned

Nov 18, 2016: DS-261 submitted and AOS fee paid

Dec 5, 2016: NVC Scan Date

Dec 6, 2016: NVC 3 N/A and Case Complete on Phone [1 day later!]

Dec 13, 2016: NVC CC e-mail

Jan 23, 2017: Interview...Approved!

 

Removing Conditions

Nov 2, 2018: Sent I-751 to Arizona Lockbox 

March 3, 2020: Approved by CSC

 

N-400

Feb 2, 2020: File N-400 online

Feb 25, 2020: Biometrics
