Hello everyone ??

So I am so happy that I already have my 2year green card. In fact really fast. Had my interview last October 11,2016

And then received the GC via mail on October 20. But no EAD yet.

1. Anyone had the experience of how long til EAD will be received?

2. Am I good to go and look for a job? Does my GC enough or do I need to wait for EAD before looking for a job.

3.P.S- Do I need to have SSN for job application too?

Went to SSA office here in Maui Hawaii, the guy whom taken care of my stuff, said I must wait for about 3-4 weeks, before I can have my SSN because they need to verify my documents I showed? He said, "weird" cause he can't find my record on their file. How come? I went to that office a day after I received my GC. Could have I waited a week or nothing wrong that I went there right after I got my GC?

Thank you for your time reading and for insights ??

Yes, the GC is also for work authorization, don't worry about the EAD anymore as it will be unnecessary. As to the SSC, I know it took several weeks for my wife's card to show up with her new name when we changed it with the GC.

Good Luck!
