Hi, I have recently started my K1 visa petition and have compile a couple of conversation logs in vietnamese between me and my fiancee to use as evidence of our communication together. I was wondering if I can provide the english translation of our conversation myself or does it have to be translated by a professional certified translator? thanks

If you called your fiancee multiple times you can just provide copies of your calls as proof of ongoing relationship. This is what I did when I submitted my 129f petition which was approved on October 14th. USCIS only wants to have proof that you have called or contacted your fiancee during the time that you have known her. In my opinion you can just submit your conversation logs the way you have it. The Adjudicating Officer is looking for evidence of ongoing relationship.

No translation needed. Save some money, and a stamp!

Thanks guys! Also I am having my fiancee write a short letter to elaborate on our relationship together and how she feels about me. It will be in vietnamese, I was wondering if I can do the english translation myself for this one or no? Thanks.

the only thing your fiancé needs to write is the letter of intent to marry...in English. We sent a few different chat logs with different dates, I sent in 1/month to show an ongoing communication, not translated. Best wishes.
