Hey everyone!

I'm in need of some help regarding going for an L1 visa through work, my company has a Blanket L1 in place and would like me to go for the specialised knowledge visa, however Im concerned as I have only been at the company for three months, I have a BA Hons degree and over 6 years industry experience so Im not sure what options are open to me or what I am eligible for? Any help would really be great!

To qualify, the named employee must also:

  • Generally have been working for a qualifying organization abroad for one continuous year within the three years immediately preceding his or her admission to the United States; and
  • Be seeking to enter the United States to provide service in an executive ormanagerial capacity for a branch of the same employer or one of its qualifying organizations.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

Thats what confuses me as the terminology is a bit strange, when it says things like "generally" I've never sure its a must, work seems to be putting me down this route and building a case for my application I just wasn't sure it was a waste of time

Maybe you should ask your company attorney about it and show them this USCIS Foreign Affairs Manual, regarding L1 Requirements for Beneficiaries:
