Good morning Visa Journey Family, has anyone sent their paperwork to the NVC around September 30th and gotten a "case complete" yet? I know it takes "up to" 6 weeks but just wondering if anyone has gotten back an approval yet. This feels like eternity and my hubby is in the CR1 category. I am the U.S. citizen petitioner.

NVC appears to be issuing case completes for docs sent at the end of August right now. You're probably looking at around another month of waiting.

Jun 2009 - Met on Facebook
Mar 2010 - Visited Morocco for the first time, got engaged
Dec 30, 2011 - Wedding in Morocco (5th visit)
I-130/CR-1 (first time around)
31 Aug 2012 - Priority Date (Vermont, transferred to NBC)
31 Dec 2012 - NOA2
27Jul 2013 - Broke up/Separation (while waiting for case complete at NVC)
9 Jan 2014 - Filed for divorce in US (never completed)
4 Apr 2014 - USCIS NOIR
May 2015 - Reconciliation
Nov 2015 - Vacation together in Spain (7th in-person visit with each other)
I-130/IR-1 (second time around)
4 Feb 2016 - Priority Date
19 Apr 2016 - NOA2

17 May 2016 - NVC Case Number Assigned

31 May 2016 - Sent AOS/IV package to NVC

5 Jul 2016 - NVC Case Complete

10 Aug 2016 - Medical Exam

25 Aug 2016 - Interview - APPROVED

1 Sep 2016 - Husband picked up his visa

I submitted Sept 29th I believe I am the only one who got case complete in like 2 weeks. Oct. 17 case complete via Ceac and phonecall to NVC got the letter today via email. I do miracle happens it did for mine so be hopeful :)

USCIS Process:
Sent I-130 (via USPS): April 28 2016
NOA1 hardcopy received: May 7, 2016
NOA2 approval text & email: July 6, 2016 (60 days from NOA1) :dancing:
Petition Recieved by NVC text & email: July 18, 2016

NVC Process:
Case number and IIN Assigned: August 3, 2016
Choice of Agent (DS-261) completed: August 3, 2016
AOS Fee Invoiced: August 4, 2016
Pay AOS Fee: August 4, 2016

There is no such thing as impossible with God. His timing is perfect so whether its gonna be longer or shorter trust that its all for a good reason. Will be praying for you. :)

My scan date was September 28th. Haven't heard anything yet. I haven't called in awhile since they don't provide me with any information other than "It will take 6 weeks". They don't even say "Up to", they just say 6 weeks.

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

I'm happy for these folks that are getting through the process but what's the trick? I started in October 2015 and my wife is still not here with me. Married 16 years, 2 children.etc etc... what do I have to do for my case to be moved through this damn process faster??????

I don't think there's any magic to making that happen. We are talking about the federal government here.

Yeah, logically I know it's not "magic".but its not first in first out either. October 2015 - March 2016 was how long I Waited to clear USCIS. Then it took 6 weeks to get to NVC - New Hampshire..... you would think each person would get the same level of "Care" but that doesnt seem to be the case so I ask "what's the trick?"

I'm not a special case either. Born in the US, paid my taxes, lived abroad for 16 years, met my wife of 16 years in her country, moved to the US with a job and started the process. I should be done but I'm not and that's frustrating....

are you still at NVC? because that is a mighty long time to be at NVC

Yes, still at the NVC and not sure when this step will be completed. The NVC has told me not to send them anything else but to make sure my wife has all of the documents needed - however - the NVC still has not sent my case to the embassy in Tokyo,....... They cannot tell me why they haven't sent it and cannot tell me if I can do anything to have them send it.... mystery

Im so sorry to hear about your case. I believe most of us were pretty careful in doing our paperwork.I had mine with cover letter and table of content for all attachments. I was proactive and did my part in calling and preparing docs but nothing extra ordinary with that I know. I have faith and truly watching my timeline all I can say is God's grace. I Hope and pray for good news on your case. End of the month they start to schedule interview so all the best.God bless!
