What are our chances? CR1 interview.

My wife is going to have her interview at the US consulate in Guangzhou on Wednesday. I filed the petition back in December 2015, and I don't think we front loaded like I've heard many people suggest, but we did provide relationship evidence like our marriage certificate and a joint lease for an apartment we rented together when she studied in the US, which was in 2014. We both studied at the same school but she had to return to china because her visa was going to expire. She left in 2014 after she graduated. We communicated with each other everyday through Skype since she left. I graduated in 2015 and immediately filed a K1 petition which failed to get passed the USCIS stage, because I didn't provide enough evidence to support that we had meet in the last two years. We tried several times until we decided to get married in December of 2015. We filed I130 in December and now we're at the interview stage. We going to use the kitchen sink approach for the interview, since we didn't front load. We have tons of evidence now. What are our chances?

December 8, 2010: Wedding date set; it will be on February 18, 2011!
February 9, 2011: Depart for China
February 11, 2011: Registered for marriage in Wuhan, officially married!!!

April 22, 2011: Mailed I-130 to Chicago
April 28, 2011: Received NOA1 via text/email, file routed to CSC (priority date April 25th)
April 29, 2011: Updated
May 3, 2011: Received NOA1 hardcopy in mail
July 26, 2011: Received NOA2 via text/email!!!
July 30, 2011: Received NOA2 hardcopy in mail
August 8, 2011: NVC received file
September 1, 2011: NVC case number assigned
September 2, 2011: AOS invoice received, OPTIN email for EP sent
September 7, 2011: Paid AOS bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 9, 2011)
September 8, 2011: OPTIN email accepted, GZO number assigned
September 10, 2011: Emailed AOS package
September 12, 2011: IV bill invoiced
September 13, 2011: Paid IV bill (payment portal showed PAID on September 14, 2011)
September 14, 2011: Emailed IV package
October 3, 2011: Emailed checklist response (checklist generated due to typo on Form DS-230)
October 6, 2011: Case complete at NVC
November 10, 2011: Interview - APPROVED!!!
December 7, 2011: POE - Sea-Tac Airport

September 17, 2013: Mailed I-751 to CSC

September 23, 2013: Received NOA1 in mail (receipt date September 19th)

October 16, 2013: Biometrics Appointment

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal

If you can go to China for the Interview, your chances are very high, but based on the limited information provided, I would still say you have a fairly good chance.

The biggest thing I can recommend to anyone is to go to China for the interview:

1. Chances of being approved when you are waiting for her outside, and she can prove it (ie. bringing your passport into the interview with her), are significantly higher than someone going to the interview alone.

2. You get to spend more time with your SO.

3. Your SO will be a lot more comfortable knowing you are there to physically support him/her

4. China is one of the oldest countries in the world, everywhere you go there is something that just makes you stare in wonder. This is a great chance to enjoy your SO's life and culture.

Hi guys,

My wife passed her interview on Oct 27 and CEAC case status changed from AP to ISSUED, but it changed back to AP, today. Does anyone know if this is normal or what I need to do if there is an issue?

My wife passed her interview on Oct 27 and CEAC case status changed from AP to ISSUED, but it changed back to AP, today. Does anyone know if this is normal or what I need to do if there is an issue?

This is 100% standard, going back to AP after issued means that it is being packaged and ready for the postal service to pick it up.
