At the stage between the NAO2 and the NVC. Looking to start gathering the forms such as police certifcate and the petitioners bank and tax details details. I know the interview in Montreal probably would be for another 2-3 months I’m guessing as an approximate. Is it better to wait closer to the time to gather these items so they have dates closer to the interview time?

Just like to be prepared but also don't want to do them too soon.

You can order the police report now as it is valid for one year.

I gathered the financial stuff early and updating as the months go by so I am supplying the most recent information.

I had everything on hand before noa2 because the police certificate was valid for 1 year. Unless the interview is after april 2017, that tax info will remain current as well.

Echoing the above; you should be able to gather everything now except for the updated letter of intent from your US petitioner; that needs to be dated within 30 days of your interview date.

I also needed to get my long form birth certificate prior to my interview; I'd thought those little cards they give your parents in Canada was what they would want but it needs to have your parents' details on it to be the one they want. So make sure you've got that, too :) I had to order mine from my province.
