Hey guys, I hope you are all well...

Just wondering if someone can help me. I know you may point me in the direction on their website but i have already read this so wanting someones personal advice :)

On the webpage it mentions what i will need to take to the interview with me such as photograph ID, Passport, Affidavit of support amongst other things however, It does not mention anything in regards to proof of relationship or any other documents.

Can anyone give me a list of exactly what they have took to the embassy in London?

I feel like i do not want to turn up with only the documents they say you need (so no proof of the relationship) to then be thrown out of the door with them thinking that i didn't prepare for this.

Please if anyone could help me i would be grateful

TIA

I just recently had my K1 interview in London and I took everything.

All of the above you'd mentioned and no, I wasn't asked for proof of relationship etc but would you rather take it and not need it or get denied at your interview because you didn't have it?

Every interview/interviewing officer is different and may ask for different things and ask different question in which case you'll want paper-based evidence to back it up with if they want to probe a particular issue or scenario.

This is what I took:

UK Passport
4x US Spec Passport Photos
Receipt/immunisation documentation from Knightsbridge medical.
Affidavit of support filled out and signed by my future mother in law - including three years of tax returns.
1x Police Certificate
I-797C + Photocopy
I-797 + Photocopy
Original I-129F application + photocopy
Appointment/K1 Visa fee confirmation + photocopy
Long birth certificate + photocopy
DS160 confirmation + photocopy

Evidence of relationship and last three visits while K1 has been in progress
Letter addressed to USC from NVC with receipt number and case number + photocopy

Hi, Thank you so much for the list...

I have to ask what are the I-797C and I-797?

It appears you have done the whole process which is great! Are you able to advise on the medical and what it means when it says take a summary of medical history from your GP?

again this is not advised on the list of things to take with you until you get the confirmation email that you have booked it. :S

I don't know what i should be taking with me now and this is all confusing to me

I-797C is the paper-based NOA1 your US fiance would have received and I-797 is the paper-based NOA2 your US fiance would have received.

Do you have anything the medical people need to know about? Communicable disease? Chronic Depression? Suicidal/Self harm issues? If you have normal medical history you don't need to take a summary of medical history. All I took were my vaccination records which you 100% need.

I thought it was but i wasn't sure, I'm sorry. that is the first time i have actually heard it being called by its official document number rather than just the NOA.

In that case do i need to get my Fiance to send these to me?

I do not have anything that you have mentioned on the medical (that i am aware of lol), so i should be okay to just get my vaccine record and everything else and no summary as there is nothing to report on really unless they want boring history of normal women things to go to the doctors about

You don't necessarily need them, I wasn't asked for them but while I was over visiting a few weeks before my interview I decided to bring them back with me just in case.

Have them sent over if you want for peace of mind though.

In that case just take your vaccination history, police certificate and the other required stuff they ask for and you should be fine!

Okay

I will just get the doctor to print of my vaccine records and see what i need on there (there is bound to be something)

Hopefully this will be okay for them and i can drive all the way home to drive back again a few days later for my interview :)

Thank you for your help

It doesn't really matter what order you do it in as long as you leave a minimum of a week in between getting the medical done and attending the interview.

You can submit the DS-160 now if you want, you don't receive an appointment letter. You book your own appointment online. When I looked at booking mine all of December, January and February were taken up anyway so you may be waiting a while. I was just lucky to get mine on the 18th October as I found a cancellation.

Oh no! If these are all taken doesn't that mean my petition will expire before i can get the interview. I didn't think i would be waiting months for it at all :( so where it says travel date i guess i need to amend that too :(

it says on my petition that i recieved from London that it is only valid for 4 months and then it has a date next to it of 12/14/2016

I absolutely 100% guarantee you the valid to date means absolutely nothing and you can call them embassy and confirm that for yourself.

It's not that stressful, just make sure you follow all of the required things and you'll be fine. If you overthink it that's when something may turn bad.

Quick question! I'm about to book my interview but my fiancees sister is our cosponsor and we have all her tax info but in her 2013 packet, she is missing her 1040. Do they ask for the page at the interview?
