Hi!

I've read through a lot of the post about the medical exams and I can't find an answer to my question so I was hoping that someone could help. We are trying to schedule our K- interview and medical exam. Fiance' lives about 6 hours from Guangzhou and Shanghai and 4 hours from Beijing so we are trying to schedule the exam with in a day or two of the interview.

On the Guangzhou medical website it is saying the medical exam can take 3 or more days and if the patient is pregnant they wont be able to complete the exam which, of course, will result in not receiving the visa.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I can not recall seeing anyone on here talking about the exam taking multiple days. Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Andy

So there are perks for a pregnant lady to go through the exam, and there are drawbacks. My wife went through the medical exam while pregnant, here are some things to keep in mind.

1. She was the first one through, they bumped her up on the waiting list at the exam because she was pregnant.

2. They will take an X-ray, but they take proper precautions to not harm the baby

3. She will not receive her immunization shots, and when she arrives in the US she will need to receive them prior to being granted her AOS.

4. The medical is completed within an hour or 2 tops

5. Results can take 3-5 days to be made ready, my Wife had her medical on a Monday, and was told to come back Friday to pickup her results.

Make sure to schedule the Medical more than 5 days out from your interview, so they don't put you in AP pending the medical.

Thank you so much for the response, it is very helpful and will help ease my fiance's mind. We are planning to do the medical on the Monday before the interview so hopefully that should be enough time. How long after your wife got to the US did you have your child?
