I am a us citizen and applied for my mother. she got a call and was told her medical is expiring in november and if she can leave for USA before november and she said ofcourse! and they said they are approving her visa. after one day her status online was changed to APPROVED. and called her again and said they will call her to pick her passport. she got the e.mail and she went to pick up her passport. when she left with her passport after a while they called her and said they need her passport so come back. she went back and they took her passport and said they need to VERIFY something and will call back again. now her passport is at us embassy in pakistan and we have no idea what is going on. PLEASE HELP WHAT TO DO!!

Sounds like maybe additional checks. How long have they had the passport? If not too long give them some time and have your mother follow up periodically.
