Welcome.

Please fill in your timeline. It helps everyone.

You have a difficult embassy. Where is your cousin? I would expect some questions about the introduction. Did your fiance propose the first time you met? Did you have any kind of ceremony or event that might make the interviewing officer believe that you two are already considered a married couple?

Check guides section to see what's next.

Your fiance's odd jobs won't be a problem. Good luck.

Sorry, I edited my post because I had misunderstood your post! Thought you were the beneficiary. Your fiancee's odd jobs shouldn't affect your application much at this point. Your income matters the most and if you can support both of you and your children with it.

I went with my kids for the six weeks, we have pics of us together and him with the kids and all of us together, my income should be fine, we have save the date cards made as well, should he take those as well? Does it help that i toom the kids to meet him? My kids are so attached to him, i told my daughter about the visa and she wants to write a letter to him because she is so happy should she add that letter ir its a bad idea, i mean its been less than a year since wee got in this relationship and it scares me that they might use that against us, please advice

He should bring as much evidence as possible to the interview. Photos with both of you, the kids and his or your family members together would be good evidence to bring. Do you send letters to each other? Or do you send gifts to each other? How do you stay in contact? He should bring Skype logs, or phone bills, whatever you two use to communicate regularly. He should bring whatever evidence shows best that your relationship is genuine and that you both intend to get married to each other within the 90 days. Bringing an exemplary save the date card would be a good too. Some people also decide to bring engagement ring receipts but that's just an example of the kind of evidence needed.

Your kids could write a letter but I'm not sure it's good or useful evidence to be honest. If anything your cousin should write a letter, rather than your kids, since you mentioned that's the person that introduced you both? A letter like that should be handwritten, signed and dated by the cousin.

He should be prepared to be asked a ton of questions and most of them intimate and personal questions.

These are things I was asked at my interview:

How did you meet?

How long have you been together?

How many times did you visit?

Has he ever visited you? Does he know your family?

What does your family think of him?

Do you know his family? Do you like them? Do you get along?

What did you do to stay in contact? How many times a week do you communicate?

What do you think is your fiancé's best quality?

What makes him the one for you?

Obviously everyone has a different experience so they might ask him completely different questions. It's all based on the package the CO looked at before the interview (the approved I-129f). Since it seems you've only met in person once, the CO might be more strict and want to see solid evidence of an ongoing relationship. You really don't need to worry unless he can't answer the questions for whatever reason and can't produce enough evidence of an ongoing, genuine relationship.

I wouldn't recommend it. My fiancé came for that specific purpose and they didn't even let him in! He could call or email the embassy though and ask if you could come too.

Since hes in ghana if he gets his interview date can i go and attend the interview with him? Or they will not allow me in

I haven't looked at the Ghana forum but maybe people there could give you some advice?

This may be useful too: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Ghana

Here's some info about the consulate: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Ghana&cty=Accra

To be fair, it does look like they are very strict because of Ghana being a high-fraud country. So I think it's very important you have enough evidence. And you know, he should ask if you can come. Because maybe it would help in your case!
