K1, tourist visa and ties questions (split)

Hi,

My partner and I are planning to submit our K1 application next month but I still want to apply for a tourist visa so I can be with her during the holidays. I just want to know a couple of things.

1. Will that affect our k1 application?

2. Enough ties: I am paying for a house here which I recently bought last April 2016 and will be turn over to me on April 2017? I have a car that is fully paid for by me, some shares on our family business and im a manager in a call center for 6 almost 7 years?

A good high paying job is a good ties to the country, bring your ITR, COE stating income, allowance and other benefits, ask also to include if you have any service agreements. Still, no one can guarantee that you will get the visa. Go ahead and try. Good luck..

When your I-129F petition was submitted before you applied for B1/B2, make sure to answer yes on the portion of DS 160 asking if anyone applies for a Petition on your behalf. If I were you, I will apply B1/B2 immediately prior to the I-129F petiton.

So, what will happen to those ties when your K-1 is approved?

let me clarify, the I129f petition is the initial step

that your fiance will file in the US. When approved, then your case will be forwarded to MNL where you can apply for the K1 Visa to fo to US to get married within 90 days. K1 visa is single entry.

Your ties remains as your ties even if you get a K1 Visa. You don't need proof of ties to apply for K1. However, when you actually have the K1 visa you don't need a B1/B2. In my understanding what are asking is you are interested to go to US on tourist visa prior to getting your K1. Now, an approved I129f petition can be contrued as immigrantion intent. That's why I said if I were you i will apply B1/B2 now.
