USCIS usually wants to see 6+ months at present job to accept current income. I'd use a joint sponsor to be safe.

Really? :( She's got a 2 year minimum contract as well at the job and been there 4-5 months now. Not sure who we could even ask as a joint sponsor. If I delay sending back the RFIE it could probably get to almost 6 months. I have 87 days to return it.

But each person needs their own I-864. If there are two I-864 and each one needs their own documents. At least that's how we do it when we do the CR1/CR2.

It's possible for the AOS I-864 it may be different, but I'd rather be safe than sorry since there are two adjustments of status going on here.

K-2 is a derivative visa, and did not require its own separate visa petition. The K-2 that is immigrating at the same time or within 6 months of the K-1 will be listed on the K-1's I-864 as a Family Member. They do not require their own separate I-864. They just need to send a copy of the K-1's I-864(would also include supporting documents too) with the K-2's I-485.

Even if the k2 is 14+?

Makes sense. Make sure all the info is in there then... learn something new everyday... I'm glad I didn't go the K1 route even more.

Yes. Age doesn't matter. You are only required to have a separate I-864 if you had your own visa petition filed. A K-2 doesn't have their own petition, so they get listed as a family member that is immigrating with the principal immigrant being sponsored. If they follow to join later than within 6 months of the K-1, then they need their own, and of course if they end up needing an I-130 filed if they fail to get a K-2 within 1 year of the K-1 visa being issued.
