Hi there!

Today my fiance had his interview at the consulate in Ciudad Juarez. He was asked questions about how we met, past entry in to the U.S., etc. He was that he couldn't get approved today because he needed to get police certificate from Costa Rica since he lived there years ago. The instructions on the blue sheet stated to send the police certificate once received along with his passport. Anyone else with this experience? If so, how long does it take to get processed once received? We are hopeful since he has an opportunity to further this process. Thanks for input!

I needed a different cosponsor and was given a white sheet, they told us approved but once we had the new affidavit to send it along with his passport and 2 weeks from then we should have his visa/passport back. It's a different embassy and also visa (cr1) but I'm thinking that since they don't know if he's had arrest in Costa Rica that they can't say if he's approved or not but it is good that they said to summit with his passport. I hope this helps you

I love my husband ?‍?‍?

Hi AmGe,

I'm in a very similar situation as you. Would you mind telling me how long it took for you to receive your "ISSUED" status on the CEAC website after submitting your police certificate? Also, how long was it since you submitted it until you got your passport and visa back?

Hi there,

It took approximately 4 business days from when received to change to issued. Then it took 5 business days to receive the visa. It was actually mailed yesterday and received today.
