Hi everybody! i just joined... n i have one question from you all... i found out today that i'm positive for Hepatitis B :'(

Its most likely Inactive since i'm not showing any symptoms... so i wanna know if this is gonna effect my K-1 visa process.

(Btw i'm at the stage of sending out my documents that were requested in the Packet 3.5...)The embassy ill b applying to is

No, you shouldn't be denied a visa based on your Hepatitis B status. It's recommended that you get treated for it and that your partner be immunized against it because it's contagious.

These are the diseases that will prevent your entry to the US.

  1. Chancroid;
  2. Gonorrhea;
  3. Granuloma inguinale;
  4. Hansen's disease (leprosy);
  5. Lymphogranuloma venereum;
  6. Syphillis, infectious stage; and
  7. Tuberculosis, infectious.
