The interview was a beautiful finale to a long, arduos journey. Digna is approved for her temporary 2 year green card which should arrive in about 2 weeks. Her brother came as a translator. We were led in to an office and sworn in by a woman who at first seemed to be a little gruff and I thought was going to pick thru the 2 binders of information and photos that I brought. She instructed her brother to listen to the questions and translate word for word and then translate the answers word for word. Then the lady started asking questions in perfect Spanish....... Go figure! She turned out to be very nice person even thru the formalities. The only evidence she asked for was a joint banking account, evidence of Digna being covered on my health insurance and I gave her a copy of the paperwork changing my future state retirement benefits to my new, lovely wife. She then voided her K-1 visa and took her I-94 and stamped her passport with a Temp 1 year visa and said that her card would be mailed in about 2 weeks. So, for a little bit of a timeline, Digna entered the country on Dec 29, we were married on Jan 3 and now she has her greencard in les than 3 months.....and we are not stuck in the VAST HOLE of FBI name checks. This has gone a lot quicker and saner than the application process with CSC and better than dealing with the stupid people at the outsourced company in Mexico that do all the customer service for the US Embassy in El Salvador.

I wish everybody going thru this happiness and success in their journeys thru the maze of immigration policies and legalities. My thanks to Visa Journey and all the people that were as impatient as me to be with their loved ones. John
