The interviewer asked for more proof of relationship, he didn't outright deny me though. Does this mean I got approved and just needs more documents or will they still deny me and send back a blank passport?

If they kept your passport, odds are in your favor. Just make sure to send them exactly what they asked for.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

221g does not mean you are denied. You just need to submit what they asked from you like additional proof of relationship. Don't worry you'll be fine after all.. did they gave you back your passport and told you to submit it with the additional proof of your relationship? If yes then start to gather again some more proofs.. Go..go..go!! You can do it.

You are not approved nor denied at this time. Gather more evidence of your ongoing relationship and send it to the embassy through 2GO (follow the instructions from USEM, check your email/spam filter for this letter.

Evidence examples; chat logs, emails, pictures together.

Visa chase and citizenship.. DONE!

They kept the passport. People keep saying it's a good sign though.

It's a good sign that they kept your passport. Gather additional proof of your relationship. Pictures of the two of you together, loving poses are best, with your friends in any gatherings and with parents and inlaws. Sometimes it helps to include one sentence on the back to describe the scene.

You only have one more chance, so be sure to make it work for you guys.
