221g for petitioner's CENOMAR

Hi all! Just finished with my interview last October 18, Consul told me everything looks good but she needs my husband's (petitioner) CENOMAR and gave me the pamphlet about legal rights of an immigrant, she told me just in case my visa is approved and issued I will already have the pamphlet. I saw her write 221g cenomar pettioner on my file's folder. She asked me to go to the next window and they will tell me how to get the CENOMAR. My passport is with US embassy. After the interview, I went to NSO Pasay to request and pay for the CENOMAR.

I was just wondering if that means I'm on my way to being issued with a visa after they have received and reviewed the CENOMAR? Do you have any idea how long it might take before they come up with a decision and issue the visa? Btw, NSO staff told me that embassy picks up documents on fridays, which is going to be tomorrow.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Sure you will after the review...221g means admin processing, in your case they require another document...administrative processing is a waiting game...maybe you will be issued right away maybe in one week maybe in a month and your passport is in the embassy which is a good sign that you will be issued soon...just stay positive and be patient and check your ceac status:) Good Luck

Once the embassy receives the document that they need, it usually takes another week or two before they issue the visa. Just keep an eye out on your status on the CEAC website.

I'm glad I told my husband to get me an Advisory of Marriage also in addition to his. You're the second person I saw on VJ that said the CO asked for it during the interview. My husband will have his interview on Monday; hopefully all goes well!

I made sure my documents were complete but I didn't expect that the Filipina screener and consul would ask for my husband's cenomar. Anyways, I hope everything would be fine and I would be able to receive my visa. Good thing you were able to prepare that, I wish you and your hubby best of luck .
