She won't be laughing if held up by authorities at the Manila International Airport (NAIA) - and what??? - for saving a few $$$??
BTW, taking that seminar is more expensive than paying a terminal fee...hahahaha!

My friend who got her K1 visa from HK US Embassy was now in S. Dakota, she went back to the Philippines before coming to US but did not take that pre-departure seminar, they didn't hold her at the Manila Int'l. Airport. If your K1/K3 visa was issued in the Manila US Embassy then you need to take that pre-departure seminar. Trlittle is asking if her fiancee need to take that pre-departure seminar coz' she's planning to go back in the Philippines to see her family first before flying here in the USA, but her K1 visa was issued in HK US Embassy just like my friend and Me!

Thanks walls1010, not only will the Visa be issued in HK but her current passport is also issued in HK. I will research this some more in a week or so when I have some extra time but I am pretty sure you are right on this matter. And for anyone who is wondering, it is not to save $$$$ that we are concerned about this but there could be schedualing problems and wait time for the sticker that would be a problem during a short visit to Baguio City(not to mention a couple of extra bus trips to Manila).
