Caec "Case Ready"

Hello everyone,

I apologize if this has been answered before, I have been searching all the forum but really don't have an answer.

I have applied for a K1 visa for my fiancee, I got all my case number etc from the NVC, when I have been looking that the status on CEAC it said "at NVC" now it says "case ready".... what exactly does this mean? is it being sent to the embassy yet? is there something I have to do on my end before it goes to the embassy? or am I just waiting for my fiancee to get a packet sent to her from embassy before anything else happens? This part of the process has been less straight forward than anything else.

Hi

When your case is on "READY" status, thats mean the Embassy already received your approved petition from NVC. Start to fill affidavit, gather all documents needed and send to your fiance. Process will goes quicker. The Embassy will mail the letter to your fiance (packet 3). In our case, my fiance received email from the Embassy and it was 2 weeks after our case in "READY" status .
