October 2016 AOS Filers

Any K1 filers with San Antonio as their local office got an interview date or waiver yet?

I posted a couple of weeks ago that we have not had any activity on our I-485 since mid-December and nothing has changed. However, all of the VJers who filed in Oct. going thru the Kansas City office have all received their GCs in January  except us. Now I'm starting to get worried that our file may be lost or something. I tried to file a service request but it says within normal processing times. Would it be a good idea to contact my Congressman/Senator to make an inquiry for us?

What does the online tracker say for the 130 and 485?

No I-130 since he is adjusting from a K1. We received EAD/AP combo card in January but the status of the I-485 still says:

 

Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received

On December 16, 2016, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSCxxxxxxxxx. Our National Benefits Center office will begin working on your case again. We will mail you a decision or notify you if we need something from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

 

Still the same as of this a.m.

Sometimes I think we all lose track of the fact that this process can take a year or more. It is a long one but at least with the EAD/AP he can work and travel. Hang on in there, we are all here for the ride!

Finally our status was updated, we have our AOS interview on the 25th of April in Boston. 

 

Did anyone else receive their interview date yet?

Hello guys. We had our interview this morning. Were approved on the spot. The nice officer just checked our documents, asked how we met and thats it. Status changed today from case is ready for interview to-new card being produced.

We sent our aos documents on 25 of october 2016.

Still no update since we received our Combo card.  I have been checking daily and cannot wait to see the status changed.

We got an interview date this morning!  It went from ready to schedule to scheduled in about 10 minutes.  May 15th in Boston.  Good luck to everyone else -I am sure we will see a lot of updates soon
