yeah i think u need to update it in ssa office since when u got your ead before base on f1student application.. from what ive know each time you will get any update from DHS like ead,gc,citizenship you need to be updated in their system..since you said your only allowed to work at school..if you get your ead base on family based pending I-485 AOS application you should be able to work anywhere you want to.. so when u get to update it your ead will still have the same thing written on it "valid for work by DHS authorization"the only difference is your updated in their system and you can work anywhere.. same process when u get your gc on hand they will just give u a card again after 7-10 working days but without the "valid for work only by DHS authorization".. ull be free as a bird yuhuu! 

 

hang on out there guys!! you will soon have an interview scheduled ,there might be just some backlog happening in your designated field offices..

Our online status reflected the same thing, but when we received the card it had approval for both travel and work authorization.

I have received my EAD the third week of January, and until now they did not update the status online or send me anything. When should I expect them to send me an interview date or some correspondence?? ayone with insight on this? and when can you contact USCIS to inquire about the delay in scheduling an interview?

It looks like we have similar timelines. I am also curious about this as well. I have not received any "ready to schedule interview" update. My status still says "RFE response received". We've received the EA/AP combo card but have not received any further updates.

We are still waiting? My local office, Newark is still way back on interviews so I'm not looking forward to anything till the middle of year or there about.

So what do your updates look like? My 485 says ready to interview but my I130 has not changed at all.

Yeah, it is so annoying that there is such a disparity in processing times between the field offices :-(
