We are in California with Application for 485+130

Both were received at MSC on October 4th. For I485, I missed the birth certificate which was sent out and received by MSC on October 28th.

I haven't had updates since then (got EAD card in Dec) now I am getting worried about what's going on and taking so much time.

Why not raise a service request on that. Usually it make take this long depending on the state and city. I have someone who filled since may last year in NY that has not received any update for interview. I submitted on oct 12th and no update on mine too. Filed in NJ.

But you can call uscis if you are feeling worried to get an update.

I'm in South Florida and I have not heard anything either. It's a waiting game.

My husband and I had our interview last Thursday, May 25th. The whole interview lasted maybe 20 mins the agent asked us a few questions and then there was some small talk, but there has been no approval. Should we be concerned? I know there were quite a few people who received instant approvals, but is there anyone who has had their interview but were not approved on the spot? My husband is adjusting from a F-1 Visa.

What did the agent tell you after the interview? He would told you if he is approving on the spot or later. And what is your local office? Anyways, some people do express delayed approval. Especially if they want to verify additional information that you provided at the interview. But he would have told you guys so if that was the case.

We interviewed in Dallas at the Irving field office. The officer did not seem to have any concerns or questions. He said he would work on getting it processed as soon as possible. He did not mention there was additional information he needed from us, but I just don't understand why we were not instantly approved. I am concerned about what the hold up is.

so I have been reading the pages here and it seems a lot of people with similar circumstances and even same filing location get processed with a different time frame. I am on F1 we got married in August 2016 (together for 3 years) and they got my file end of September Here is my timeline, can you guy let me know what next,  short of just waiting.

-Application received September 30th (sent to Chicago).

-Biometrics done October 25th.

-Employment Authorization and Advance Parole approved December 15.
-I485 status stuck on "On October 10, 2016, we accepted the fingerprint fee".

When I call, the I485 is being processed in Lee's Summit and we live just outside Charlotte NC. When I call, they say that it is within the timeframe. But I can see online taht other similar had their files moving faster.

I also see that some ask for a 2nd tier agent or file a request ... how do you guys do that?

cheers.

The only other option I am aware of is scheduling an infopass appointment. I am guessing it is awaiting transfer to your local field office still. Just hang on in there!
