Hi VJ members! I am now preparing our packet for adjustment of status with my three children. I just want to know if each child will also have to submit Form I-864 Affidavit of Support or do we need to submit only one copy for the four of us? Thank you.

Hi! I submitted form I-864 for each of my K2s with complete supporting documents ( 1040 and W2). Better submit on each packet complete the requirements as per instructions. There is no harm submitting more than what is asked rather than risking to get an RFIE. Make sure the I-864 for each K2 is with original signature.

If your K-2 children came to the US with you, or within 6 months of you arriving, then they will be listed on the I-864 for the K-1 adjustment applicant where it asks beginning at Part 3 #2. K-2 are derivatives of the K-1 and did not require their own separate visa petitions.

All the intending immigrants will be counted in the USC petitioner/sponsor's household size at once, on one form. Include a copy of that I-864 with each of the K-2's I-485 forms.

Thank you guys for your answers! I'm almost done completing the requirements and filling out forms..and like what cristina16 said there's no harm in submitting more than what is asked for...nobody likes getting an RFE. God bless everyone!

One more thing, do i also have to make a cover letter for each of my k2 or just one cover letter for the four of us?

I made cover letter for each of our packet. The more organized you make it the better.
