You need to start it all over when the co give you 221 G for Ap. your aplication has 4 moths period from the approval date by the time the CO send it back to the USCIS it will be expired, and the USCIS will not reaffirm it or reopen your case. Believe me I'm experience that.

Difference in cases

they do not review K1 if in AP / it is sent back and allowed to die

she is CR 1 spouse / they can do AP at embassy and approve or deny / if sent back to US they can ask for additional information in RFE and deny or reaffirm and return to embassy for another interview / she also can appeal a denial of CR 1

Thank you soo much for the clear explanations!now I'm a bit less frustrated. My case is CR-1/IR-1 so hopefully I still have a lil hope. I know my case red flag quit often gets denial. (Her parent and oldest sister is in US, her older sister is my friend and that is how I get to know my wife, she was denied for a US visitor in 2008) . Should I send them inquiries now or should I wait a lil longer since it've only been 2week? I really want to send them inquiry but I heard doing that could slow down my AP

@ hyvong16: I wish you tow the best, don't give it up yet. I think others have given you good advise: - Visit your wife, still gather all the document, and keep checking.

Please keep us here posted.

Good luck
