My fiance, is entering thru the border in San Diego-Tijuana,

Has anyone done this before, does he have to cross walking, or can we cross in car?

Also, I will be driving with the budjet truck thru the border with his stuff, furniture, clothes, etc, etc, can he be on the

truck with me, and then when we are sent to secondary inspection, give his package to the custom agents?

Try contacting the Border Patrol and/or Customs agencies in that area. It would be best to know exactly what they're going to allow, proceedures, etc. One's persons experience entering through the same point may not be the same situation you may experience when that time arrives.

It should be the same as when going from Canada to the US. You can both go in the truck (make sure you have your passport) and he can hand in his paperwork to border patrol. He shouldn't have a problem going through it though.

But yes, it would be a good idea to call them ahead of time just in case you need additional paperwork. Also, try to find out how long it might take you because those lines are loooooooooooooooong.

If you are bringing a Budget Truck, make sure you have plenty of gas (and the right paperwork for the vehicle). You must tell the rental company your plan to cross into Mexico/US as they may give you special paperwork that you need to present to the border agents that authorizes you to bring the vehicle into the country.

The lines to cross the Mexico-US border at Tijuana in a vehicle range from 2-4 hours depending on the time of day and day of the week. The BEST time to cross is at night (after 9pm) but make sure its before 3am because thats when the line starts to form for people going to the US for work/school.

If you want to walk, then generally the wait times are shorter (no wait to 1 hour)...again its based on time of day.

Good Luck!

I also see you have not filled in a Timeline...have you started the K-1 process or is this all preliminary? If you have started, any chance you could create a timeline? I too petitioned for my Financee from Mexico and filed at CSC.
