Well, I think I screwed up. I found that the DV photo tool didn't play nicely when I tried to use the crop/zoom tool on the entry and ended up saving a whole bunch of different copies. I then accidentally uploaded the original photo (not the cropped one) with my application. I had my photos professionally taken with the US passport photo requirements from a photographer recommended by the US embassy locally, but I'm worried that the photo that I uploaded may have been outside of the photo guidelines. Not by much, but still not within the exact parameters. How bad is this? Will my photo disqualify me if it didn't meet the guidelines exactly?

Hard to tell. If the entry was accepted then it won't be disqualifying as far s the entry was concerned. If you are selected, it will depend if the consular officer notices enough to see it's out the guidelines - if it's not much it may be ok.

Thanks @SusieQQQ, the photo was enough to meet the photographer's US guidelines, but with the tool, it was maybe 5-10mm out. Background was per guidelines, no glasses etc... just the zoom was the only thing that changed. It'd be disappointing if it was denied by a consular officer over something so trivial, but I suppose there is little I can do about it now. I can't correct it (from my understanding) so it is what it is, I guess. What a pain. :crying:
