Which country are you from? How can someone get scratched,"accidentally", having an argument? Domestic Violence is a serious offense and it will come up in your record.Senior members can advice you on this one.

Welcome to the forum.

I would suggest that you prepare a complete and thorough response, with documentation, as mentioned in the Form I-751 instructions, to your Assault/DV charge. USCIS could easily find out about the charge, and could ask for more evidence in an RFE, or could ask for an explanation if you get selected for an interview. Be certain that you clearly specify the timeframe in relation to your initial I-751, so that USCIS could not deny your petition claiming a material misrepresentation or omission by you of important information.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

since the assault happened after you submitted your packet, there is no need to notify uscis,it may and it may not come to the notice of uscis, if it comes to their notice they would tell you they wont take futther action till the full conclusion of the assault case .So right now dont put your worries on the uscis, put your worries on not being found guilty on anything assault,am talking from experience
