Hello All,

It has been a while since I have been on the forum as I am now in receipt of my 10 yr green card. However my question is not for me but my son who is 22. He has met a girl three years ago while visiting me in the states. His now fiance has had a i-129F approved and the application is at the embassy in England. He is now gathering his documents for the interview etc. His fiance does not meet the poverty levels and I have been asked to sponsor him. Of course I have no problem with that as he is my son. Does the petitioner have to complete an affidavit of support also or is my affidavit sufficient for he embassy's needs. Thank you for you help.

We just had our interview on October 14th in London.

They took only the co-sponsors I-134 Affidavit and supporting documents.

We knew this was probably the case, but brought both anyways.

I would recommend he do the same.

Better to take some extra then be asked for something you don't have!

Thanks for your prompt reply. So you were in the same position where your fiance didnt meet the required level of income? I think you are right may as well take both its no big deal. Thanks
