Waiting for EAD... when will it come?

I know, we're impatient. Re has a job with his temp EAD which expires on March 25. He had his biometrics on March 9 and we were hoping that his new EAD would come before the 25th, but we haven't gotten any notice on anything. The last time his file was "touched" online was March 11th.

Should we continue hoping, or just go ahead and tell his job that he will have to take a temporary hiatus?

For those who went through the Alexandria, VA biometrics office, how long did it take to receive the EAD?

Unfortunatelly usually it takes more than 30 days to get EAD. About 60 days if you're lucky, but recently lots of people posted they've been waiting for over 90 days.

Total yes, but even your timeline says you got your EAD card 7 days after the biometric appointment...

That's not how it works, if you look how much time I waited from applying for EAD and actually getting EAD you'll see it took about 60 days, and besides that was almost a year ago, so you can't really rely on that information anymore. If you had your biometrics pretty early after your NOA doesn't mean you'll get EAD right away, it'll still take some time for the processing itself, which can take up to 90 days.

This is correct. I got my EAD a week after biometrics, but my biometrics appointment was over 90 days since filing. I agree, it’s 60 days since receipt if you are lucky, 75-80 days is about average. Unfortunately, it’s not likely that you will get it before March 25.

I don't think ASC staff are in a position to tell you when the card will arrive.

The EAD itself is not processed at the local office, they just send you there for your Biometrics, otherwise most of us would be making a long trip to the NBC at Lees Summit.

To give you some idea, most of us with December NOAs do not have our EADs yet despite having had our biometrics done.

It took Claudeth about a month to receive her EAD after the biometrics.

Hi i got my ead card today and if your goin to look at my timelines you will have the idea of how long it took for me but only because they sent me my biometrics appt. really late but after i had it took 10days. So every case is different.
