Hey everyone.

I'm from India. My husband is a GC Holder living in the US.

My PD is 17 April 2015 and the current visa bulletin i.e. November 2016 shows the date of 22 January 2015.

My case has been completed at the NVC.

I was wondering when should I expect a call or an e-mail about my interview date from the NVC or the Embassy? That is, how many days before my PD becomes current do they let me know about the Interview date?

Thank you.

They will inform you a month and a half prior to your assigned interview date. That way you'll have enough time to do the medical and gather the needed docs.

Just monitor the movement of the VB. NVC sends out the interview letters every last week of the month until the first week of the succeeding month.

Good luck!

Okay so does that mean they will get in touch with me after my PD becomes current or sometime before?

Hello jeharpatel31, mine PD is 15th April 2015 and current Visa Bulletin is 22 Jan 2015,so we need to wait around 2 to 3 months.NVC will notify us before a month so that we can do our medicals and all necessary things. Good Luck and keep updating and I am also from India.

Sometime before. You will receive the interview letter via email before they release the upcoming VB.

Hi

My priority date is Dec 24 2014

Category F2A

Filed I485 AOS Nov 23 2015

Received EAD/AP on April 4 2016

Local Office: San Jose, CA

The USCIS case status still says Case Received. Has anyone with same category F2A and priority date 12/24/2014 received an interview appointment?

F2A is family based sponsor. EAD is Employment Authorization Document. Those two are not related. Your case seems to be special.

However you PD is current. People did get IL, even with PD of Jan 2015. Seems like your case has not been completed. You should call them.

Regards.
