My husband and I were co-sponsors for my brother and his family last year (4 adults). They already got their green cards last year.

Can we still co-sponsor an Affidavit this year for my cousin and minor son?

Is that ok?

We are a family of 4. What would be the income required in this case?

Affidavits are my nightmare.

Thanks friends.

hi

you would need income to cover 10 people,

the 4 of you, the 4 you already are joint sponsors of, plus the 2 that you would be joint sponsors of

that is 10, which you would need over 65 thousand for your income

if your husband can be your household member and the 2 of you make over that, yes, you can be a joint sponsor as many as you want

your brother's family will be included in your household size, even if they don't live with you, but they got a GC, you have the same responsibilities as the primary sponsor, even if you didn't petition for them

Yep, like the above poster said. You'll need to make more than 65000$. Your brother and his family are still being sponsored by ya'll even if they all have GC's. They will continue to be covered by you until they become naturalized, so if you go to sponsor ANYONE before your brother and his family become naturalized, you will ALWAYS have to include your family of 4, your brother and his family, and then who ever you want to sponsor.

The more people you are currently sponsor/want to sponsor, the more you will have to make, even if the people you are sponsoring are living on their own doing their own thing.

Thanks so much for your answer. It is so helpful!!!

Now, if the petitioner this year will make around $26,500

but the last three years has earned around $19,000

Do they still need a co-sponsor?

Thanks,
