Starting October 1st a new testing is required for medical exam?

Hi! So, I noticed in our Packet 3 from our US Embassy in Cairo Egypt it is stating that starting on October 1st the US is requiring immigrants/non immigrants going to the US to be tested for gonorrhea.

My fiance had his medical exam and the hospital did not do this testing. He called the Embassy and they said they had no information regarding medical over the phone to send an email. He will go to the Embassy approved hospital tomorrow where he had his exams done last week and ask them about this testing. Has anyone since October 1st that has done their medical exam in other countries done this kinda required testing?

I was tested for syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea back in August already, in Sweden. The clinic told me that the gonorrhea test was a new thing added to the medical exam, that's why the price of the medical had gone up a bit.

Good thing that they test these things too.

Are you sure the clinic didn't test him for gonorrhea? It's just a urine test.

Well, it says the cost in Egypt is 700 le and Im pretty sure everything else on the list he told me he did and paid for and didnt know about that other test. I know hes gonna go up to the hospital tomorrow morning to ask them about this.

My husband has his medical almost 2 weeks ago I think oct 5. They did the test and raised the price a few usd but I've seen other countries raise it by almost half but they will require you to do the extra test

Neither hospital in Cairo is set up at this time for that testing.... He talked to the owner of the hospital today.

The owner told him that the Embassy is aware of this. Theres an Egyptian girl who has her interview this Tuesday. My fiance's interview is a week from tomorrow. On Tuesday Mayar will tell me how the interview went for her and about that medical test.
