Married before on K1 visa (merged)

my first husband was from Morroco and I sponsored Him for a k-1 visa. We were married for 8 years and I divorced him because he had issues with alcholism. My now boyfriend I met a year ago while on vacation. He and I were friends and now we have fallen in love. I do not want to live in his country and want him to come here to live with me. Will there be any issues with either the K1 or the CR1 visa, since I previously sponsored my exhusband. Thank you in advance for your responses?

Hello Everyone, I was married to a Morrocan man for 8 years. For 4 of the years we slept in different rooms and I contemplated a divorce with him. In The beginning of September I filed for a divorce. Because he was irresponsible and drank too much. Over the past year I met a very nice compatible man who lives in Egypt. We love each other very much. I do not want to live in Egypt and am planning on going to meet him in January and possibly get married then. I know it seems quick but I have not been in love with my soon to be ex in years and vice versa on his part. I regret that I did not divorce my husband earlier but had health issues and other distractions. Is it going to be possible to marry my now boyfriend on a C1 visa and bring him here to be with me. Thank you in advance

First hope your health issues are better....

Second yes as soon as you are free to marry you may do so with your new Fiancee...just be wary of the AP and other hold ups with MENA countries.

Third you can't just bring him over you will need to follow the process it does take anywhere from 6 months to a year if not more.

But again you must be free to marry before marrying. Also, you should look up what you need to marry in Egypt. There are contracts and other things which I am not certain of all but....don't assume you arrive and get married.

I would do my homework so when you do travel you are not stuck over there without needed documents etc.

Be careful not to send any personal info a lady was recently scammed over there.

I am on my second k1 (first k1 2014-never entered the us) my now husband arrived on the 25th of September....things happen relationships end people change. As long as you have proof of your new relationship no reason to not be able to marry or bring on a k1 providing you are FREE to marry ;)

You would have a number of red flags here- re-marriage to another foreigner very soon after divorce, and marriage on first meeting. It doesn't make a visa impossible, but it does make it much harder. I would strongly suggest waiting some, and having a second meeting before marrying/ filing for the visa.

There might be some questions for your Egyptian partner but it would probably better to do a K1 or CR1 with a real marriage certificate.

I dont advise marrying in Egypt. I advise handling your divorce here first and then going the fiance route. I divorced my ex husband from Egypt after a 10 year marriage. I dont even want to get into the details publicly but anyways we divorced in May had been separated since Feb and was free to marry in Texas 30 days after my divorce. I went to Egypt and got engaged to my now fiance. Its only been 4 months since our engagement and he has his interview very soon. Best wishes. Theres a FB group for VJ people going through Egypt for fiance or spouse visas. PM if you want to know the name of it. Best wises.

I used a K1 fiance visa for my first husband who was from Egypt. Marriage didn't work out so we divorced (2005 to 2011).

I met a wonderful man who happened to also be from Egypt and I had no problems bringing him on a K1 fiance visa - now happily married since 2014 to current.

As long as your new man knows all about your past marriage and can answer any questions the embassy may have, you will be just fine. Good luck to you both.

P.S. I am not sure of his religion but if he is Muslim then you must wait at least 3 months after your marriage before you can "be together".
