HI visajourney members During the interview I was asked for a joint sponsor as my husband income is not enough. The question here can my husband daughter be his joint sponsor or not

That depends on many things: Is she a LPR of USC living in the US? Has she filed all her US taxes? Does she earn enough to sponsor you or have enough in savings? But in theory, nothing wrong with your (adult) step daughter sponsoring you.

If it isn't difficult, it isn't worth it.

She is USC but I have no idea about her income , my husband told me that his daughter will be a joint sponosor.

She is USC but I have no idea about her income (This is troubling to me. If someone is going to be a joint sponsor, knowing EXACTLY what their income is is priority #1) , my husband told me that his daughter will be a joint sponosor.

When was your interview ? Can you tell us please more about how things was going ? Thanks

My interview was on 5th of October. It took only 10 minutes the CO was very friendly asked me 5 questions : when and where did you meet your husband. How long have you known each other. Where he lives. What is his home address in US. He also asked me whether he has children their names and age.how often he visited me , I had pic of us together in different visits and different places. Then he said everything is OK wemail need one more thing a joint sponsor and I should send the document via Aramex.

Thx for your reply! Your spouse daughter can of course be your joint sponsor as long as she makes 125% of the federal poverty guidelines depends on the state where she lives and her household size, she can also use assets to meet the requirements if she makes less than that or your spouse can join his income with her if they're living together (proof will be required.... Ex joint rental contract or bill payments) or if either one of them have claimed the other as a dependent in their IRS
