Irrational Paranoia Re Interview

As the date of my interview approaches ever nearer the same tense concern is coming back to me that i had for the medical ( I really should know better huh!).

Friday 13th April - what a start!.....anyways....there are a multitude of possible hitches waking me up in my sleep!

When my fiance filled the 129f - the question about how he met me was filled in as " met whilst on holiday in Devon" ...which was when we first met in person but only after spending several months chatting via yahoo games then exchanging email address then phone numbers - my concern is when i get asked the how did you meet question i feel my response should be " we met in person when we both took holiday after 7 months of email, phone conversation and internet contact " would this seem too concocted

My fiance says if they question the details tell them he interpreted the form as asking for details of the meeting face to face - he beleive it really wont be a problem

Anyone come up against any real issues or am i being a masochist here?

Just be as honest as possible...........say what you want to say.......

The face to face meeting is probably what they are mostly looking for.....but, I would say exactly what you said. It rings of the truth and that is DEFINATELY what they are looking for.

Stop stressing. It really isn't as bad as you are imagining it to be.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

I wouldn't worry about it either!

We put when we met in person too - we talked for awhile online first too. And explain that if asked! However,I was not asked any relationship related questions!

Please don't worry at all. I was really nervous too, and as long as all your evidence is up together to PROVE you have met and have a legitimate relationship, you have nothing to worry about. They didn't even ask to see my evidence, but it was a comfort knowing i could pull it out if i needed to.

Read some of the Embassy reviews online here - it will really help you to understand what you will go through on the day.

I'm glad I did that before I went, as I knew what would happen on the day, and could read some of the questions previously asked.

Seriously - DO NOT WORRY !!

What is wrong with saying you met on the Web?

It is important to disclose all the details of how a couple meets - the Web brought the availability of 'marriage brokers' to everyday individuals (not just the wealthy) - hence IMBRA.

I described in our I129F that we first met online. At the interview, my husband told the CO the same, and was querried as to what website.

There's no reason to give a play-by-play of your relationship when at the consular window. Just say something easy like "We met online, chatted a few months, then I visited him over here". If the CO needs further details, he or she will ask.
