holy hell people, you don't  need to put your timeline in your signature.  That's why we can see your timelines otherwise.  It's super annoying.  All these gigantic signatures aren't showing personality, they're just showing huge pictures and timelines with extra bologna.

I just learned a few minutes ago that you can hide everyone's signature by clicking on a little arrow thing on the right just above their signatures. Such a relief not to have to scroll past novels. It would be so awesome if they could spend as much time filling out their timeline as they spend on writing their long annoying signatures.

Oh I know I can hide all the signatures.  I enjoy seeing signatures like mine or gif that's interesting, or a short do da... but these longs impersonal ones are excessive in number.  I did have my timeline in my siggy back in the day, but I kept it small, short, and simple.  I added to it as we went though.  Then I added it as a spoiler so that people could read it IF they choose.

They used to not bother me (and some are very nice and fun) but it seems lately that they have gotten even longer. I don't know how much of that is due to the new site change. For the moment, until everything settles down, I'm going to keep the signatures off so I can enjoy the forum.

I don't blame you.  40 lines is huge.  It takes up my entire monitor space.  Just for a signature.  If everyone had one that big, you'd read 1 post at a time.

I haven't noticed it?  Maybe I don't venture into the scary newb part of the forums much anymore.

 

So far, and we are set to get 5 inches more of snow overnight, we have gotten 3 times as much snow this winter versus all of last winter.

 

 this.  We are going to flood this year á la flood of '97.
